Changelog
Everything that ships, newest first. I practice with this game myself, so this page doubles as my diary. New updates land in the Discord first.
October 2026
- 10.08 · A pile of player mail, answered. Custom beats: hit Save on a fresh link and the game finishes the tempo/drop analysis itself instead of trusting you to wait — and if the analyzer is down, Save anyway says so honestly instead of storing a blind guess. A beat that fails to start now offers a retry instead of a dead end, and slow connections get a longer leash before the game gives up. Mic players: if a run heard your voice but you kept saying the word ahead of the beat, the result screen now tells you exactly that, with a one-tap Try again — no more cold zero that reads as a broken mic. And if the mic truly heard nothing, a Recalibrate button reruns the 5-second sound check: nobody is stuck with a bad calibration forever anymore.
- 10.03 · For iPhone players: a player wrote in "I got no beats" — on some iPhones, turning the mic on can mute the game beat (silent switch, or iOS rerouting sound to the earpiece). The mic check now tells you about the side silent switch right when it matters, and the game holds your speaker route while the mic is on.
- 10.01 · The rhyme dictionaries now work like a web: every rhyme chip that has its own deep-dive page links straight to it instead of making you search again, and the couplet examples link their rhyme words too. Same treatment across the Spanish and Russian dictionaries. Also: "name" finally has its card on the dictionary front page, it had earned one long ago.

- 09.30 · The rhyme dictionary now stocks your lists: every lookup result carries per-word + buttons and one add-all button, and every popular-word card can send its word to ★ My words, then practice them right from the result. Same player mail as yesterday, same answer: keep building around the people who actually play.
- 09.29 · ★ My words: your own word lists, straight from a player's mailbox. Build up to eight lists — type a word, hit Enter, it becomes a chip you can drag into order — and pick any of them from the topic dropdown. The game serves your words first while their rhyme families back them up, so even a five-word list plays full, and one-tap suggestions offer easier rhymes when your own words run hot. Lists live only on this device, and they stay out of Daily and Challenge rounds to keep the leaderboard fair.
- 09.23 · Six new beat hubs for crate diggers: trap, drill, boom bap and lo-fi, plus the 90 BPM and 140 BPM practice pools. Every card carries real tempo and drop data from our own audio analysis, not guesses. Also: all 23 rhyme dictionary pages got thicker, with a field note on how each word family actually plays on a beat and two more example lines per word.
- 09.22 · The result screen stopped nagging: the little star-rating row now shows at most once a week instead of after every round (the Feedback button is always there if you want it). Also: 300+ abbreviation fragments that a frequency dictionary had smuggled into the word pool ("co", "st", "re" and friends) are out of the game, so far fewer anchor words that turn out to not be words at all.
- 09.19 · Custom beats on iPhone, finally: if iOS silently blocked the sound, the game now shows a quick tap-to-enable hint instead of letting the track die quietly and judging you against nothing. Beat links wrapped in a Google or redirect URL now parse too.
- 09.18 · Rate the game without leaving the result screen: one tap on the stars, an optional what-went-wrong category, no popups, ever. New reads: the freestyle rap challenge playbook, and the weekly top beats chart now keeps past weeks.
- 09.17 · Endless mode has a second key now: finish 15 runs and the zen version opens (no mic, no lives, just an endless stream to flow over). The mic key (hit 50%+ on beat) still unlocks the 3-lives competitive version, and either way the unlock toast drops you straight in. Also: example lines learned to talk to each other, so on the most-played word families one word's hint sets up the next word's line, and two stuck bars in a row read as a real couplet instead of two random sentences.
- 09.16 · No more cheap rhymes back to back: the game won't serve two words from the same root in a row anymore (looking at you, "vert … revert"), and variant pairs like "orthodox / unorthodox" are out of the game (still in the rhyme dictionary, where they belong). Also: mic timing rescue now rides along on the built-in beats too, so a drifted clock can't score real hits as misses anymore.
- 09.14 · Custom beats, judged right at last: if you pasted your own track and the game swore you were silent, it wasn't you, the game was watching YouTube's clock instead of the music. It now locks onto the actual audio and re-aligns itself mid-run. Also: links that carry a beat now greet you with the track's name, tempo and drop time on a card with one big Play button, and badges your history already earned celebrate on the result screen instead of covering the page the moment you walk in.
- 09.13 · Mic scoring, once more: some players landed every word on time and still got zero — the game was listening at the wrong offset and never course-corrected. It now re-anchors itself to how you actually rap, and if you're consistently early or late, it tells you which. Said the word, got the point.
- 09.11 · Endless mode is in: three misses and you're out, the words never stop. It's locked: hit 50%+ on beat with the mic on (the Locked In badge) and it's yours; survive 100 bars and the card says so. Same drop: 27 badges, from your first finished round to a 16-bar clean combo, check Progress in the top bar, everything stays on your device. And mic scoring got fixed again: the timing your sound check measures now kicks in the moment the check passes, plus on phones a Play bar follows you down the page.
- 09.09 · Challenge links got a proper face: the beat, the words and their score on one big card, your result confirmed on screen when you finish.
- 09.08 · Beats play right on the page, no round trip to YouTube. New weekly chart of what players actually practiced on.
- 09.05 · Same words for everyone, every day. Challenges replay your exact run, and your Day streak shows on the share card.
- 09.04 · Difficulty adapts to how you're playing. Also: the leaderboard stopped accepting 0-clean runs (somebody briefly topped it with zero bars).
- 09.03 · SoundCloud beats are in. Phones fold the intro away mid-run. Fixed silent beats on some Androids.
- 09.02 · Полная русская версия: the whole game speaks Russian at /ru/play/, word families included.
- 09.01 · Spanish landing page at /es/. Kinder result screen when you play with the mic off.
August 2026
- 08.30 · Share card v2: your bar-by-bar trail, a "Choked at bar 7" badge when a run collapses, and a QR code into the game.
- 08.29 · The mic sound check talks back: "Hearing you" the moment it catches your voice.
- 08.28 · Optional example lines mid-run, for when your brain goes blank. On/off toggle next to New words.
- 08.26 · A Feedback button on the site, no email needed. Half of this page started as a note from there.
- 08.24 · Three new rhyme schemes: ABBA, AAXX, AXAX.
- 08.23 · The mic engine, rebuilt: it learns how you attack the beat and stops counting drum bleed as your voice. Same day, the daily leaderboard.
- 08.22 · Tighter judging: four timing windows, and a personal calibration that survives a refresh.
